For example, I meet a lot of his work friends and likewise.
The other option is to see if your married/partnered up friends can set you up.
That is tricky since 99% of people are terrible at this.
But it probably can't hurt to directly let people know that you're looking for someone, just make sure they understand they can't force their single friends on you if you don't want them.

One thing that I like about the local firm is that they screen out men who aren't marriage-minded, and that's the biggest plus for me. Currently I'm in a relationship, but if it doesn't work out, I don't know if I'd hire a matchmaker. What I would probably do is start looking for a job in a larger city like Dallas (3 hours from me) or do Match again and say in my profile that I split my time between Oklahoma City and Dallas, and maybe push for my company to let me work remotely from Dallas. I also was considering this, as I live in a very undesirable city for dating. Anyway, there has to be a better way than wasting money on a matchmaking company. I have the cash to do this, and from what I have read, this just seems like a better bet that online dating or hitting the bars/running trail/Meetup groups. Not to say that every man on there is a predator, but it's just too time-consuming to sift through the profiles and try to figure out which of them could possibly be genuine. Right, but if these firms do their jobs correctly and screen out men who are just looking to get laid or "hang out", it could be the wisest investment I ever make in my future. The executive matching services I am considering are Something More (which is local), Selective Search, and Kelleher International. I don't know how they could possibly screen out men who just want to get laid. These services are usually expensive, and I've heard they don't always give results.Years ago I had contacted a few professional matchmakers just to get an idea and they wouldn't leave me alone.
