He served with the Khiva Shrine in Amarillo from 1966 through 1995.and Marcy Sessions and husband Jon of Wellington; seven grandchildren, Steven Long and wife Amy of Piedmont, Okla., Shelby Long and wife Holly of Hollis, Landon Long of Alexandria, Va., Jackson Long of Altus, Yury Rouba and wife Heather of Edmond, Reed Sessions of Wellington and Riley Sessions of Wellington; six great grandchildren, Marek Long, Keetin Long, Ayden Long, Iliana Rouba, Oliver Rouba and Estelle Rouba; one sister, Tennie Pritchard and husband Jerry of Shamrock; one brother, William Horton and wife Billie of Shawnee, Okla.; two brothers in law, Larry Long and wife Linda of Elk City and Gary Long and wife Linda of Blanchard; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. After establishing their first home in Hollis, Tillie was a homemaker for many years until she began working as a teachers aide for Hollis Schools. Travis later married Janece Jesse in 1975 in Wellington. Wilbur and husband Chuck of Wellington; two step children, Sonya Bouldin of Euless and Billy Bouldin of Dallas; a grandson, Kye L. Pallbearers were Brandon Porter, Tim Paschal, Jared Patterson, John Patterson, Mickey Anglin and Joe Patterson. After receiving an MS in Computer Sciences he joined Amarillo College as a professor in 1968 where he remained until his retirement as an educator in 1983.She later began working as the assistant county treasurer for Harmon County and was later elected treasurer for Harmon County, retiring in 1997. With this union came two step children, Sonya and Billy whom he cared for deeply. OHair of Amarillo; four great grandchildren, Zachery T. During subsequent years Dan was a real estate investor, home builder and land broker in Amarillo.Pat Browne Pat Browne, age 64 of Morton, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Lubbock. April 4 at First Baptist Church in Morton with Brother Clay Coursey of Morton and Brother Harold Harrison of Whiteface officiating. Austin University and taught public schools for 30 years, 21 of those years at Palacios.She was also a volunteer fire fighter for five years.She shared a single bed in that house with four of her sisters sleeping three at the head and two at the foot.
Emma met her husband, George Estes, shortly after she graduated from Wellington High School in 1929, and ran away after a brief courtship to marry him on September 10, 1929 just weeks before the fall of the stock market and the start of the Great Depression.
Oleta Faye Statham Oleta Faye Statham, age 81 of Childress, died Thursday, April 3, 2014. April 5 at First Baptist Church in Childress with the Rev. She worked at Royal Park Sewing Factory, Lancer Mobile Homes and Watkins for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Rusty Statham of Wellington and David Statham of Childress; a daughter, Ann Statham of Childress; and four grandchildren. 7, 1949 in Amarillo to Elzie and Nathalene Lee Browne. She received her Masters Degree in education from Stephen F.
She followed her husband from state to state and across half of Texas, from one construction job to the next, making a home and raising four children, two girls and two boys.
After her husbands retirement they moved to Mansfield to be near her brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Julie Barjenbruch; a son, Rob Barjenbruch and wife Lorena of Port Lavaca; a daughter, Erica Mitchell of San Antonio; his mother, Beth Sherrod of Wellington; a brother, Larry Adams of Wellington; his step father, Sam Adams of Wellington; and four grandchildren, Michael and John Barjenbruch and Sunny and Penelope Mitchell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment followed at the Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis. Long was born in Hollis January 5, 1931 to William O. Attending Arnett School, Tillie graduated as valedictorian of her class in 1949. Bettye was born January 21, 1926 in Wellington to Jesse Grover and Willie Preston White Hunt. Dan was born October 18, 1928 near Wellington to John B. He grew up on the family farm in the Rolla community outside of Wellington before graduating from high school in 1946.
